Amazon Princess Aleka is, at its heart, a voyage of discovery. Aleka recruits another warrior, Cassia, to help in her search for her friend Delia, who has disappeared. As in most young adult books, Aleka must discover things about herself before she can finally reach her goal. The book is quite entertaining, and it's always a pleasure to read about two powerful, confident, well-written young women. This book isn't about silly love triangles or over-dramatic teenage angst. Aleka and Cassia are proficient warriors who use their brains as much as their strength to reach their goals. I felt like the story was rather familiar, which is why I only gave it four stars, but the 'teenage voyage of self-discovery' trope is a classic for a reason. I'd definitely recommend this, especially to preteen and teenage girls looking for powerful, intelligent role models.Product details

I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I absolutely loved this book! It's perfect for teenagers especially those that may have self-esteem issues. The 2 characters in this book not only go on an unbelievable journey but also find out that it's a journey on the heart. During this self-discovery, Alexa becomes more independent and transform into a woman from a girl. There are also plenty of twist and turns though out this book making it impossible to put down!
I feel this book would be good for teenagers to young adults. It shows girls to be strong even when they don't think they are not strong like everyone else. You have Aleka who feels Delia is her best friend and Cassia who Aleka is jealous of. This book will show betrayal, love, unexpected friendship and more. The book might be a little slow at the beginning but then it gets to the point where you want to know what happens.
What a great YA story and beginning of a new series. I loved how Aleka started out as a typical insecure teen (no matter if she is an ) but by the end of the story had grown up. The writing was great and the story just sucked me in and i had to finish it all at once I just had to know why Delia disappeared - was she kidnapped or did she run away. i liked that Aleka and Cassia became friends in the end. Loved the paranormal take on the s too. Totally worth it!

The story had a steady pace through out the book. Aleka and Cassia characters pull you into wanting to know more about them. The journey they take to find Delia takes them awhile to find her trail. Aleka is sure her friend would not have left on her own. The two warrior girls Aleka and Cassia find her finally after a long journey. But Delia isn't who they thought she was. Delia wants to destroy Aleka's clan so they take care of Delia before they rush home to warn them.
